CO-FOUNDER, HEAD COACH

Mike began his college career as a walk-on, eventually earning a full athletic scholarship at Saint Joseph’s University (NCAA DI). He has directed youth camps and coached college & pro players in FIBA regulated exhibitions in Belgium, Germany & Spain. Mike is the founder of Basketball at the Beach, one of the largest summer basketball camps at the Jersey Shore. Mike has 8+ years of experience coaching and training players ranging from the beginner to professional level.

Mike Muggeo has been involved with the game of basketball his entire life. A 2015 graduate of Bergen Catholic High School, Mike was an integral member of the varsity basketball team that defeated Teaneck in the 2015 Bergen County Jamboree.
After high school, he attended Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA. While attending St. Joe's, Mike walked on to the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Team, eventually earning a full athletic scholarship. Mike was coached by Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame Member and 2004 NCAA National Coach of the Year Phil Martelli. Coach Martelli currently serves as the Associate Head Coach of Men’s Basketball at the University of Michigan.
Upon graduating from Saint Joseph’s in May 2019, Mike spent the summer in Europe, coaching professional basketball and directing youth basketball camps in Germany, Spain and Belgium.
Mike has spent the past four years coaching at the youth and high school level in New Jersey. In 2019, he rejoined the Bergen Catholic basketball program as an assistant varsity coach. Additionally, he has coached over 250 youth AAU games in North Jersey, dating back to 2019.
In July 2021, Mike hosted, Muggeo Basketball “Basketball at the Beach” Summer Camp, a youth basketball camp in Lavallette, NJ. Three years later, Basketball at the Beach has grown to be one of the largest basketball camps in Ocean County New Jersey, with over 180 players attending in 2023.
In addition to Mike’s work at the youth level, he possesses extensive experience training collegiate and professional players.

CO-FOUNDER, HEAD COACH

Matt Flood surpassed 1,000 career points and led Cresskill HS to a State Sectional Championship as a senior. He was a four-year NCAA student-athlete and team captain at Ithaca College. Matt currently works as a Physical Therapist and coach at the youth and HS level.

Matt Flood is a Bergen County native and has been involved in North Jersey basketball for the last decade. As a player, he helped lead Cresskill High School to a State Sectional Championship in 2015. He received First-Team All Bergen County and All-North Jersey honors as a senior. Cresskill posted a 51-10 overall team record in Matt’s final two seasons as a Cougar. His 1,211 career points rank 5th in program history.
Matt was recruited as a student-athlete to Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. A reliable two-way contributor for the Bombers, Matt was voted by his teammates and coaches to serve as team captain during his junior and senior seasons. Matt ended as the conference statistical leader for 3pt percentage in the 2017 (44.5%) and 2019 (47.7%) seasons. He shot over 40% from the arc for his career and ranks in the top-10 in program history for 3-point field goals.
As a coach, Matt has four years of experience working with players ranging from youth to overseas professionals. He currently serves as an assistant coach at Cresskill High School and as a head coach within the Cresskill Youth Travel program. Matt also conducts youth skill development clinics throughout the year. In August 2022, Matt held the first “Matt Flood Basketball Camp” in Cresskill, NJ. This past summer, over 75 participants joined for the two weeks of instruction and fun.
In addition to his passion for coaching, Matt received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rutgers University in May 2023. He currently works as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist in Bergen County.
